Syrian state media announced that two civilians were killed on Sunday in the northern city of Raqa.
The state news agency, SANA, attributed the deaths to gunfire from the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The city has been under SDF control since the US-backed force removed Islamic State fighters in 2017.
In a separate report, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that clashes were taking place in some Raqa neighborhoods between the SDF and local Arab tribal fighters.
