Iran’s parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, on Monday labeled the state’s response to the widespread protest movement a “war against terrorists” while addressing a pro-government rally in Tehran.
Ghalibaf detailed what he described as a “four-front war” facing Iran, listing economic and psychological warfare, a “military war” involving the United States and Israel, and the current “war against terrorists.”
“The great Iranian nation has never allowed the enemy to achieve its goals,” Ghalibaf stated, flanked by banners displaying slogans such as “Death to Israel, Death to America.”
He also added that the Iranian military would teach US President Donald Trump “an unforgettable lesson” in the event of a new attack.
