Morocco will face Haiti on Thursday in a crucial Group C clash at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, aiming to secure qualification to the knockout stage.

The match comes as several other decisive fixtures unfold across different groups, including key games for Brazil, Germany, and Ivory Coast.

Morocco in Strong Position

Morocco enters the match with four points from its opening two games, following a draw with Brazil and a win over Scotland.

The North African side holds a clear advantage in the group standings and needs only:

– A win or a draw to qualify directly

– Even a loss could still see them advance if Brazil defeats Scotland

Haiti, on the other hand, has already been eliminated after two consecutive defeats against Brazil and Scotland, turning the match into an opportunity to end their campaign on a positive note.

Brazil vs Scotland: A Decisive Clash

In the same group, Brazil faces Scotland in Miami in a match that could determine the final qualification spots.

Brazil also has four points and can secure progression with a win or a draw.

Scotland, currently third with three points, must win to guarantee qualification, though a draw could keep their hopes alive depending on other group results and rankings of third-placed teams.

Group A: Mexico Secure, Others Fight On

In Group A, Mexico will take on the Czech Republic in Mexico City.

Mexico has already secured qualification with a perfect record, while the Czech side must win to maintain their chances of advancing.

Meanwhile, South Africa will face South Korea in another crucial match:

– South Africa: 1 point, still in contention

– South Korea: Needs a win to qualify directly

A draw could also be enough for South Korea, depending on the outcome of the other match.

Group E: Germany Leads, Ecuador Under Pressure

Germany will meet Ecuador in a key Group E encounter at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey.

Germany has already qualified after two consecutive wins and leads the group with six points.

Ecuador, with just one point, must secure a positive result to keep their qualification hopes alive.

Ivory Coast vs Curacao

In the same group, Ivory Coast faces Curacao:

– Ivory Coast: 3 points, needs a win to strengthen qualification chances

– Curacao: 1 point, seeking first victory to stay in contention

Morocco Coach Confident Ahead of Haiti Clash

Morocco coach Mohamed Ouahbi expressed confidence ahead of the match, stating that his team is fully prepared and focused on finishing top of the group.

He said: “I prefer to win against Haiti and move ahead of Brazil in the standings,” noting that a victory would take Morocco to seven points.

Haiti coach Sébastien Migné praised Morocco, saying the team is capable of reaching the latter stages of the tournament and highlighting key players such as Yassine Bounou, Achraf Hakimi, Brahim Diaz, Azzedine Ounahi, and Ayoub Bouaddi.
