The Syrian army announced on Saturday that its forces have begun entering the city of Tabqa in Raqa province.
According to a statement released by the army’s operations unit to the official SANA news agency, the advance is taking place along multiple axes. The statement also claimed that army units were “encircling the PKK terrorist militias inside Tabqa military airport.”
