Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Wednesday that the government has regained “full control” following several days of protests, which have been met with the most severe state repression in years.
In an interview with the American broadcaster Fox News, Araghchi addressed the recent Iran protests, describing the preceding events as a “terrorist operation.”
“After three days of terrorist operation, now there is a calm. We are in full control,” Araghchi told the “Special Report” program. His comments come as authorities continue a widespread crackdown in response to the demonstrations.
