Separately, Iraq’s Counter Terrorism Service launched a wide‑scale inspection campaign across nine provinces to reinforce security and stability.

In a statement cited by the Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense said Iraqi Army units, supported by special forces, continued operations to track and dismantle terrorist cells.
A joint force within the sector of the 2nd Battalion, 44th Infantry Brigade, under the 11th Division, executed what the ministry described as a qualitative security operation in Kirkuk.
