The Ukrainian parliament building in Kyiv is without electricity, heating, and water following an overnight Russian strike targeting the nation’s energy infrastructure, the parliament’s speaker announced on Tuesday.
Ruslan Stefanchuk, speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, confirmed the situation on social media.
“After another Russian missile and drone attack, Ukrainian cities have been left without electricity, water, and heating,” Stefanchuk stated. “The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is currently without these basic services as well.”
The attack is the latest in a series of strikes on Ukraine’s energy grid.
