According to multiple news reports, Turkish actor Doğukan Güngör has been officially dismissed from the cast of the popular series “Kızılcık Şerbeti” (Cranberry Sorbet) after testing positive for illicit substances.
The decision was made by the management of Show TV after blood and hair sample analyses confirmed the presence of prohibited substances, including cocaine and cannabis. Following the results, the production company terminated its contract with the actor and has reportedly removed his scenes from upcoming episodes and promotional materials.
In his first public statement on social media following the incident, Güngör acknowledged his mistake and expressed regret, stating that he is focused on correcting his path.
This event is part of a wider series of drug-related investigations targeting celebrities in Turkey’s media and arts industries. Several other prominent figures have recently been removed from television projects after failing similar drug tests, highlighting a strict stance by production companies on professional conduct.
