Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has declared three days of national mourning following a high-speed train collision in the southern region of the country that killed at least 39 people.
Speaking to reporters near the site of the disaster in the town of Adamuz, Sanchez vowed that a full and transparent investigation would be conducted to determine the cause of the fatal incident.
“We will uncover the answer, and once the cause of this tragedy is determined, we will present it with absolute transparency,” the Prime Minister stated on Monday.
