Several Iraqi provinces announced on Wednesday the suspension of official work for Thursday due to bad weather and ongoing rainfall.

In Diwaniya, the provincial council decided to suspend official work while exempting service departments operating at 50% capacity and health departments on emergency duty, to ensure citizens’ safety.

The Muthanna Provincial Council also suspended work, including schools and universities within the province, due to continued rainfall.

In Dhi Qar, the suspension applies only to schools, while government offices will operate as usual to protect students.

In Babil, all departments will be closed except for security and essential service departments, due to ongoing rain.
