NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced on Sunday that he has spoken with US President Donald Trump regarding the security situation in Greenland and the Arctic.

The discussion follows recent tariff threats made by the American president against NATO allies.

In a statement on the social media platform X, Rutte confirmed the conversation, stating, “We will continue working on this, and I look forward to seeing him in Davos later this week.”

The NATO chief did not provide any further details on the specifics of the discussion with President Trump.
