The Ministry of Trade denied on Tuesday any increase in the fees collected from citizens for the food basket program.
In a statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the ministry called on food and flour agents in Baghdad and other provinces to visit distribution centers to receive the food basket items and flour for delivery to citizens.
The statement confirmed that the amount collected from each citizen remains only (500 dinars), dismissing recent media reports claiming an increase in fees or changes in suspension procedures at the present time.
