The Kremlin on Wednesday said talks to end the war in Ukraine were ongoing and “serious”, with US special envoy Steve Witkoff due to visit Russia next week.
“A process is ongoing, the process is serious,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a state TV reporter, adding that “many people” would try to “thwart” the talks.
