Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that US threats against Iran are a source of regional instability during a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday.

According to the Iranian president’s office, the call took place following the arrival of a US aircraft carrier in the region. Pezeshkian reportedly told the Saudi Crown Prince, “The threats and psychological operations of the Americans are aimed at disrupting the security of the region and will achieve nothing other than instability for them.”

In the conversation, President Pezeshkian emphasized that collaboration among Islamic nations is key to ensuring regional security. He stated that the “unity and cohesion” of Islamic countries could guarantee “lasting security, stability and peace in the region.”
