Iranian authorities have maintained a nationwide internet shutdown for over 132 consecutive hours, according to the monitoring group Netblocks on Wednesday.
Activists express concern that the blackout is intended to conceal the full extent of the government’s crackdown on ongoing protests.
In a post on the social media platform X, Netblocks confirmed, “Metrics show #Iran remains offline as the country wakes to another day of digital darkness.”
