Explosions in Tehran were reported early Tuesday as Israeli and US strikes on Iranian targets entered their fourth day. AFP journalists in the capital confirmed several loud blasts across different districts accompanied by smoke columns and sightings of military aircraft.
Iranian media outlets also documented strikes in nearby Karaj and the central city of Isfahan which indicated a widening military campaign targeting strategic sites across the country.

Explosions across Tehran during overnight strikes

Local media and AFP correspondents reported four powerful explosions shortly after 1:15 am local time shaking windows in residential areas across central and eastern Tehran. Fighter jets were observed flying over the capital while large smoke plumes rose from historic and densely populated districts.
The Mehr and Tasnim news agencies stated that several locations inside Tehran were struck although details on the impacted sites remained unclear.

Additional blasts in Karaj and Isfahan

Beyond the capital Iranian outlets confirmed explosions in Karaj west of Tehran.
Similar reports emerged from Isfahan which hosts several military and industrial facilities.
Authorities did not release official information on casualties or damage assessments at the time of reporting.

Blasts near Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB

Iran’s state television network IRIB confirmed two explosions near its headquarters in the Evin district of northern Tehran. Despite the strikes IRIB stated through its Telegram channel that broadcasting operations continued without disruption.
The Israeli army claimed responsibility asserting that it had struck and dismantled what it described as an IRIB communications hub. The military also issued warnings urging residents of the surrounding district to evacuate prior to the attack.

US and Israeli military campaign continues

The strikes reflect the ongoing joint US Israeli offensive that began four days earlier following heightened regional tensions.
US President Donald Trump stated that the operation against Iran could last beyond one month adding to concerns that the conflict may expand regionally.
Israel also intensified bombardments in Lebanon while Iranian forces targeted oil facilities in Gulf countries according to various media sources.

Regional implications and Iraqi relevance

The continued escalation raises concerns across neighboring countries including Iraq which borders Iran and hosts multiple diplomatic military and economic links with the Islamic Republic.
Ongoing instability in Iran could trigger disruptions in cross border trade energy supplies and population movement which are closely monitored by Iraqi authorities.

What remains unclear Despite extensive reports key information is still missing:

• Exact targets of the strikes inside Tehran
• Damage levels at affected sites
• Casualty figures
• Official Iranian military response
Updates are expected as authorities assess the situation.

Conclusion:

The situation in Tehran remains fluid with multiple explosions reported across the capital amid an expanding military confrontation involving the United States Israel and Iran. Further developments are anticipated as assessments continue.
