EU chiefs said Friday they have not officially received the 28-point US proposal to stop the Ukraine war, adding they would discuss it with leaders attending the G20 summit this weekend in South Africa.
“The European Union has not been communicated any plans in (an) official matter,” Antonio Costa, European Council president, told a pre-summit press conference in Johannesburg.
“A 28-point plan was made public. We will discuss the situation, both with European leaders and with leaders here in the sidelines of the G20. I will also reach out to President (Volodymyr) Zelensky to discuss the matter,” said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
