China will grant visa-free access to Canadian citizens, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced on Friday following a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
“I’m very pleased to share that President Xi in our meeting today has committed to ensuring visa-free access for Canadians travelling to China,” Carney stated during a press conference in the Chinese capital.
This policy change comes amid efforts by both nations to improve diplomatic relations.
