The Iraq Stars League title was secured by Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya following what head coach Rashid Jaber described as a long and demanding season built on collective effort and internal stability. The Baghdad-based club clinched the championship after navigating 38 competitive matches and extensive travel across Iraq.

Speaking to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Jaber and club president Maad Badai emphasized that teamwork, discipline, and unity inside the club were decisive factors behind lifting the Iraq Stars League title.

Rashid Jaber Highlights Team Spirit and Discipline

Coach Rashid Jaber said the season required exceptional physical and mental commitment from the squad, given the crowded fixture schedule and frequent travel to distant provinces.

“The team played 38 tough matches,” Jaber stated, noting that the demanding calendar tested the resilience of players and staff alike.

He praised the players for showing strong fighting spirit throughout the campaign and credited supporters for their consistent backing, whether matches were played in Baghdad or away from home. According to Jaber, the fans provided crucial motivation at key moments of the season.

Jaber also pointed to the administration’s confidence in both players and technical staff, stressing that the club operated on a principle of collective responsibility rather than individualism.

Stability Key to Securing the Iraq Stars League Title

One of the main factors behind securing the Iraq Stars League title, Jaber explained, was the absence of major internal problems and the presence of both technical and administrative stability.

He acknowledged that the team faced significant challenges, particularly in matches against:

– Al-Talaba

– Al-Zawraa

– Naft Maysan

– Zakho

According to Jaber, the title was effectively decided in the match against Al-Zawraa, when Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya extended its lead to seven points with only six points remaining available. That result made the championship outcome mathematically decisive.

Regarding his future, Jaber confirmed that discussions over renewing his contract are still ongoing, and no final decision has been made.

Club President Credits Collective Effort

Club president Maad Badai stated that the Iraq Stars League title was achieved through the combined efforts of players, management, and all staff members.

He noted that complaints filed against the club during the season served as additional motivation for the team to deliver stronger performances on the field.

Badai added that the club had previously been at risk of decline and possible relegation but was rescued through the efforts of the first and second temporary committees, as well as current board members, coaching staff, and players who worked with unity and determination.

Jawiya Stadium Project to Begin This Year

The club president also revealed that Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya will begin implementing its dedicated stadium project within the current year.

The planned stadium is expected to strengthen the club’s infrastructure and provide long-term stability following its league triumph. The project marks a new phase for the club after securing domestic success.

Conclusion:

Winning the Iraq Stars League title capped a season defined by endurance, teamwork, and institutional stability for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya. With a stadium project on the horizon and contract talks ongoing, the club now looks ahead to consolidating its position among Iraq’s leading football teams.
