The Iraqi Ministry of Transport has confirmed the continuation of normal air traffic at all Iraqi airports, dismissing recent reports of flight suspensions at Baghdad International Airport as inaccurate.
In a statement on Tuesday, Ministry spokesperson Maytham Al-Safi affirmed that all flights are operating as scheduled to their various destinations. He also noted that transit flights through Iraqi airspace remain unaffected, with no disruptions reported at any of the nation’s airports.
Al-Safi clarified that a temporary and localized suspension had affected flights from Sulaymaniyah International Airport to Iran due to poor weather. However, he confirmed that these flights have since resumed normal operations following improvements in weather conditions.
