The Iraqi Meteorological Authority announced on Tuesday the weather forecast for the coming days, expecting thunderstorms in several areas, while temperatures are set to remain generally stable across the country.
According to the Authority, Wednesday’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with scattered rain showers expected in the northern region and the eastern parts of the central region. Temperatures are expected to remain close to their current levels nationwide.
Maximum temperatures for Wednesday are forecast as follows: Sulaymaniyah 14°C; Duhok, Nineveh, and Salah al-Din 16°C; Anbar, Erbil, and Kirkuk 15°C; Diyala 17°C; Baghdad and Karbala 18°C; Babil, Muthanna, and Maysan 19°C; Diwaniyah, Wasit, and Najaf 20°C; while Dhi Qar and Basra will record 21°C.
The Authority added that Thursday’s weather will be partly cloudy across the country, with temperatures remaining stable in the northern region and slightly decreasing in the central and southern regions.
It also noted that Friday will see partly cloudy to cloudy conditions, with rainfall expected in the northern region, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, while temperatures remain generally stable.
As for Saturday, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy, with rain in the central and northern regions. Temperatures will drop by a few degrees in the north, while remaining relatively stable in the central and southern areas.
