Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on Tuesday targeting the Rayhan heights in the Jezzine area of Lebanon, escalating military operations in the region. The strikes followed overnight bombardment that hit the town of Kfara and surrounding areas in Bint Jbeil district. Israeli artillery additionally shelled the Arid Dbine area in Marjayoun district. The strikes coincided with an Israeli military order demanding immediate evacuation of residents from Burj al-Shamali, instructing them to move at least 1,000 meters away from their current locations.

Aerial and Ground Operations Expand Across Multiple Districts

Tuesday’s airstrikes targeted the strategically significant Rayhan heights in Jezzine, a mountainous region in southern Lebanon. Overnight operations expanded the scope of strikes, hitting the town of Kfara directly and affecting the outskirts of Kfardounine toward Deir Kifa. A residential structure on the main road in Kfara within Bint Jbeil district was also struck. These multi-location strikes indicate a coordinated operation spanning several populated and strategic areas across southern Lebanese territories.

Artillery Bombardment in Marjayoun

Beyond aerial operations, Israeli artillery units targeted the Arid Dbine area in Marjayoun district, adding ground-based bombardment to the escalating military campaign. Artillery strikes in this region typically affect civilian populations and infrastructure across a broader geographical area compared to precision airstrikes.

Evacuation Orders Issued

Israeli military forces issued an evacuation warning targeting residents of Burj al-Shamali, ordering immediate departure and a minimum distance of 1,000 meters from their current positions. Such orders typically precede intensified military operations and suggest anticipated further strikes in affected zones. Evacuation orders indicate civilian areas are considered within the operational scope of ongoing military activities.

Escalating Military Operations

The intensity and scope of Tuesday’s operations represent a significant escalation in cross-border military activity. Coordinated airstrikes combined with artillery bombardment and evacuation orders suggest a planned, multi-phase military operation targeting specific locations across southern Lebanon. The geographic spread of strikes from Jezzine in the north to Marjayoun in the south indicates operational depth and sustained pressure on civilian and strategic areas.

Humanitarian and Civilian Impact

The targeting of populated areas including towns and residential structures raises serious humanitarian concerns. Evacuation orders indicate civilian populations are at direct risk, and the combination of air and ground bombardment threatens civilian infrastructure and displacement. The 1,000-meter evacuation radius from Burj al-Shamali suggests large-scale impact on the civilian population in that area.

Conclusion:

Israeli military operations on Tuesday demonstrated a significant escalation across multiple southern Lebanese districts, combining aerial strikes, artillery bombardment, and civilian evacuation orders. The coordinated nature and geographic scope of the operations indicate sustained military pressure on the region, with direct implications for civilian safety and regional stability.
