A US warship will visit Trinidad and Tobago for joint exercises near the coast of Venezuela, the archipelago’s foreign ministry said Thursday, amid Washington’s campaign against alleged drug traffickers in the region.

The USS Gravely will dock in Port of Spain from October 26-30, and a contingent of US Marines will conduct joint training with the Trinidad and Tobago Defense Force, it said.
