Baghdad – Iraqi News Agency (INA)

Iraq’s Meteorological Authority announced on Friday the country’s weather forecast for the coming days, expecting a gradual rise in temperatures.

In a statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the authority said that Saturday’s weather will be clear across all regions, with northwesterly winds ranging between 10–20 km/h, strengthening to 20–30 km/h during the day in parts of southern Iraq. Temperatures will slightly increase in the north, while remaining similar to the previous day in central and southern regions. Highs are expected to reach 41°C in Baghdad, 44°C in Basra, and 36°C in Duhok and Sulaymaniyah.

The authority added that weather on Sunday and Monday will remain mostly clear, with northwesterly winds of moderate speed, while temperatures will stay close to current levels across the country.

By Tuesday, conditions are forecast to remain clear, with light variable winds in central and northern regions and light to moderate northwesterly winds in the south. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly nationwide.
