US President Donald Trump claimed on Sunday that Iranian leaders have sought to negotiate following his recent threats of military action. The statement was made amidst ongoing anti-government protests in Iran.
Speaking to reporters, Trump stated, “The leaders of Iran called yesterday,” adding that “a meeting is being set up… They want to negotiate.”
However, the US President also suggested that potential action might precede any meeting, adding, “we may have to act before a meeting.
