The Ministry of Water Resources confirmed on Friday that drinking water across several provinces remains safe and suitable for human consumption, dismissing recent claims of contamination as baseless.

In a statement received by INA, the ministry explained that specialized teams from the Ministries of Water Resources, Health, and Environment continue to conduct regular laboratory tests on drinking water samples, all of which meet Iraqi standards and health requirements.

The ministry urged citizens to rely on official sources for accurate information and avoid circulating rumors that may cause public concern. It also reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing monitoring of water systems and treatment plants to ensure the continuous supply of safe drinking water.
