Ahmad outlasted a field of 510 entries in the10,400 buy-in tournament, part of the 2025 Onyx Super High Roller Series, and took home the $1,000,000 first-place prize.

The final table featured top international players, including Canada’s Jamil Wakil, Austria’s Stefan Kiwisch, Bulgaria’s Krasimir Yankov, and China’s Peng Chen. Ahmad began the final day in third chip position, while Wakil led the pack. Each finalist was guaranteed at least $85,000, with the stakes rising sharply for the top finishers.
Early eliminations saw Hao Tian (9th, 85,000) and Weiran Pu (8th, 102,000) exit after classic high-stakes showdowns. Orhan Ates from Turkey (7th, 127,000) and Israel’s Ohad Geiger (6th, 160,000) followed, as the field narrowed to five.

A pivotal hand saw Peng Chen’s ace-queen fall to Kiwisch’s pocket nines, sending Chen out in fifth place for 212,000. Krasimir Yankov, who entered the final table with a strong record, was eliminated in fourth (292,000) after his king-nine was outdrawn by Ahmad’s jack-nine.
Stefan Kiwisch secured a career-best live result, finishing third for $415,000 after losing a close hand to Ahmad. This set the stage for a dramatic heads-up battle between Ahmad and Wakil.
