The Iraqi Meteorological Organization announced on Sunday the weather forecast for the coming days, predicting a new rise in temperatures starting Monday.
According to a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “Monday’s weather will be clear, with a slight increase in temperatures compared to the previous day.”
The statement added that “the maximum temperatures for Monday in Iraq’s provinces are as follows: Sulaymaniyah, Erbil, and Duhok 36°C; Nineveh 38°C; Baghdad, Kirkuk, Anbar, Salahuddin, and Diyala 39°C; Karbala, Najaf, and Babil 40°C; Wasit, Diwaniyah, and Muthanna 41°C; and Dhi Qar, Maysan, and Basra 42°C.”
It also noted that “Tuesday and Wednesday will be clear with similar temperatures, while Thursday will see slightly lower temperatures across the country.”
