Iraq’s Meteorological Authority announced on Saturday the weather forecast for the coming days, expecting dusty conditions and fluctuating temperatures across the country.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the authority said that “Sunday’s weather will be clear with temperatures similar to the previous day.” Maximum temperatures will range from 37°C in Sulaymaniyah to 47°C in Dhi Qar and Basra.
The forecast added that “Monday will see clear skies, with stable temperatures in central and northern regions, and a slight rise in the south.”
On Tuesday, the authority expects “clear skies with northwesterly winds, moderate to active, exceeding 30 km/h in the southern region, causing dust storms, while temperatures will decline across the country.”
As for Wednesday, the report stated that the weather will be “mostly sunny with some clouds, northwesterly winds ranging from light to moderate, occasionally exceeding 30 km/h, stirring dust in certain areas. Temperatures will remain close to the previous day, with reduced visibility in dusty conditions.”
