The Iraqi Meteorological Authority announced on Friday the weather forecast for the coming days, expecting clear skies with light dust and fluctuations in temperatures across different regions of the country.

According to a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Saturday’s weather will be mostly clear with northwesterly winds, light to moderate in speed, occasionally active in central and southern areas, causing light dust. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly in the northern and central regions, while remaining stable in the south.

The forecast shows that maximum temperatures on Saturday will reach 41°C in Duhok, 43°C in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Anbar, 45°C in Baghdad, Nineveh, Kirkuk, Wasit, Babil, and Diwaniyah, 46°C in Salah al-Din, Diyala, Karbala, Najaf, and Muthanna, 47°C in Dhi Qar, and 48°C in Basra and Maysan.

On Sunday, the weather will remain mostly clear with scattered clouds and light dust in some areas, while temperatures are expected to stay nearly the same nationwide.

By Monday, temperatures will drop slightly in central and northern regions, with clear to partly cloudy skies in the north, while the south will see stable conditions.

On Tuesday, clear to partly cloudy skies are expected in the north, with temperatures dropping slightly in central and southern Iraq, while remaining steady in the north.
