The Iraqi Meteorological Authority announced on Saturday the weather forecast for the coming days, expecting clear skies and stable temperatures across the country.
According to the authority, Sunday’s weather will be clear with high temperatures similar to the previous day. Maximum temperatures are forecast as follows: Sulaymaniyah 36°C, Duhok and Erbil 38°C, Kirkuk 39°C, Nineveh, Anbar, and Salah al-Din 40°C, Baghdad, Diyala, and Karbala 41°C, Babil and Najaf 42°C, Wasit, Diwaniyah, Muthanna, and Maysan 43°C, while Dhi Qar and Basra are expected to reach 44°C.
The forecast added that Monday and Tuesday will see similar conditions with clear skies and steady temperatures. On Wednesday, variable light to moderate winds are expected in western areas, reaching up to 30 km/h and causing occasional dust storms, with temperatures remaining stable in central and northern regions and slightly increasing in the south.
