Baghdad – Iraqi News Agency (INA)

The Iraqi Meteorological Authority announced on Friday the weather forecast for the coming days across the country, predicting rising dust levels and a gradual drop in temperatures.

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the authority said that “Saturday’s weather will be clear with some clouds. Northwesterly winds will be light to moderate, becoming active in central and southern regions, causing dust to rise in some areas. Temperatures will remain close to those recorded today.”

The statement added that “maximum temperatures on Saturday are expected to reach 28°C in Sulaymaniyah, 29°C in Duhok, 30°C in Erbil, 31°C in Nineveh, 32°C in Kirkuk, 33°C in Salah al-Din, 34°C in Anbar and Diyala, 35°C in Baghdad, 37°C in Karbala, Babil, and Diwaniyah, 38°C in Najaf, Wasit, Muthanna, and Dhi Qar, and 39°C in Maysan and Basra.”

It further noted that “Sunday’s weather will be clear in central and southern regions and partly cloudy in the north, with a slight overall decrease in temperatures.”

“On Monday, the weather will remain clear with some clouds in the central and northern regions, accompanied by a few degrees drop in temperature, while the southern region will see a slight decline,” the statement said.

The authority concluded that “Tuesday’s weather will be mostly clear with scattered clouds, and temperatures will be similar to the previous day.”
