The UAE Foreign Ministry condemned today renewed Iranian missile and drone strikes, describing them as a “serious escalation and direct threat to state security and stability.” The Emirates declared its commitment to protecting national sovereignty and reserved “full and legitimate right of response” to Iranian aggression.

The official statement followed a wave of Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Fujairah’s oil industry zone, resulting in injuries and a fire at the critical petroleum facility.

Foreign Ministry denounces renewed Iranian missile assault

The UAE Foreign Ministry issued a formal statement affirming that “renewed Iranian missile strikes represent serious escalation and direct threat to state security and stability.”

The ministry stressed that the UAE “strongly condemns renewed Iranian missile and drone attacks,” emphasizing that “we will not compromise on protecting our security and sovereignty under any circumstances.”

The Foreign Ministry declared the Emirates’ commitment to preserve “full and legitimate right of response to aggression,” warning against continued escalation.

UAE’s firm and decisive position

The Emirates’ response was resolute and uncompromising:

The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that “our air defenses are now engaging missiles and drones coming from Iran.”

The ministry reported detecting four missiles from Iranian sources, stating it “successfully intercepted three missiles over UAE territorial waters” while “the fourth missile fell into the sea.”

The Defense Ministry noted that “air defenses are currently engaging missile attacks and drone aircraft coming from Iran.”

Casualties and fire at Fujairah petroleum industry zone

The Fujairah Government Media Office announced that three persons were injured in the Iranian attack targeting the Fujairah Free Zone Petroleum Industries area.

The government stated the “injured persons are of Indian nationality,” warning of escalating threats to critical petroleum infrastructure.

Local authorities also announced the outbreak of “an advancing fire at the Fujairah Free Zone Petroleum Industries area resulting from strikes by drones coming from Iran.”

Impact on critical infrastructure

The Iranian attack resulted in:

Three persons injured (Indian nationals)
Fire outbreak at petroleum industry zone
Targeting of strategic critical facility
Direct threat to economic infrastructure

Iranian escalation within broader regional conflict context

The Iranian attack on the UAE occurs amid escalating regional tensions and ongoing confrontations between Iran and Gulf states.

International responses to the incident

The attack drew immediate international attention:

British Maritime Operations Center reported incident 14 nautical miles west of Saqr Port

Legitimate right to self-defense and response

The UAE asserted a firm position regarding its legitimate right to defend itself and respond to aggression.

This assertion came alongside escalated warnings against continued Iranian escalation, emphasizing that the Emirates will not tolerate any threat to its security, stability, and vital economic interests.
