The outgoing CEO of BBC News on Monday said the broadcaster was “not institutionally biased”, after she resigned over accusations that it had misleadingly edited a speech by Donald Trump.
“I’d like to make one thing very clear, BBC News is not institutionally biased. That’s why it’s the world’s most trusted news provider,” Deborah Turness told reporters outside the BBC’s London headquarters, after she and BBC director general Tim Davie stepped down on Sunday.
