The father of an Israeli officer killed in Gaza in 2014, whose remains were returned from the territory on Sunday, said that true victory in the current war would only be achieved when all hostages were brought home.

“What this war has proven is that when we fight for our soldiers, we succeed. Victory means bringing home the hostages and bringing home our soldiers to Israel,” Simcha Goldin, father of Lieutenant Hadar Goldin, whose remains Hamas returned earlier on Sunday, said in a statement.
