The operation was conducted based on precise intelligence and forms part of ongoing efforts to pursue ISIS remnants and prevent renewed activity in disputed and remote areas.<\/p>\n
Separately, Iraq\u2019s Counter Terrorism Service launched a wide\u2011scale inspection campaign across nine provinces to reinforce security and stability.<\/p>\n
In a statement cited by the Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense said Iraqi Army units, supported by special forces, continued operations to track and dismantle terrorist cells.<\/p>\n
A joint force within the sector of the 2nd Battalion, 44th Infantry Brigade, under the 11th Division, executed what the ministry described as a qualitative security operation in Kirkuk.<\/p>\n

The CTS added that operations involved aerial and ground reconnaissance, K9 units, and field engineering teams to detect explosives and clear potential threats.<\/p>\n
