Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan “welcomed the statements of US President Donald Trump calling for an end to the horrific attacks perpetrated against civilians during the civil war, which has been ongoing for more than two years, as well as his leading the efforts to achieve stability in Sudan”, in a call with chief US diplomat Marco Rubio, a ministry statement said.<\/p>\n
The UAE has been frequently accused of backing the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) at war with Sudan’s army — a charge it denies.<\/p>\n
