The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced on Saturday that special voting will begin at 7 a.m. on Sunday, with the participation of more than 1.3 million voters across Iraq.<\/p>\n
IHEC spokesperson Jumana Al-Ghalai stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that special voting for military personnel will start at 7 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m., involving 1,313,890 military voters. She added that 809 polling centers and 4,501 polling stations have been prepared for this process.<\/p>\n
Al-Ghalai also confirmed that special voting for internally displaced persons (IDPs) will take place on the same day, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with 26,538 displaced voters expected to cast their ballots at 27 polling centers and 97 polling stations nationwide.<\/p>\n
