The United States, Egypt, the UAE and Saudi Arabia proposed a “three-month humanitarian truce in all Sudan,” the official said.<\/p>\n
During this potential ceasefire, efforts will be made to bring together Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and it regular army for talks in Jeddah on a permanent peace deal, he said.<\/p>\n
Sudan’s army-aligned government indicated earlier this week that it would press on with the war following an internal meeting on a US ceasefire proposal.<\/p>\n
